Assistance to citizens abroad

The social assistance service is intended for Italian citizens who find themselves in a situation of poverty. Italian citizens can receive (exceptionally) financial or other help from the Consulate to overcome a temporary difficulty.

Requests for consular assistance (NOT IT assistance) must be sent to the address, specifying any information which might be useful for the Consular Office.

Inquiries from foreign nationals and in any case inquiries for general information and/or consular services (including appointment requests for passports, visas, etc.) received on the emergency hotline or the Consular Assistance Office mailbox will not be answered.
