Please be advised that it is mandatory to confirm, through Prenot@mi, your appointment for passports and electronic identity card (C.I.E.) issuance between the tenth and third day prior to the scheduled date.
WARNING: if the appointment is not confirmed by the user within the specified timeframe, the system will automatically cancel the appointment, and the slot will be made available again on the Prenot@mi portal. The user will then have to make a new reservation and cannot claim any precedence.
In case of technical issues with the confirmation process (e.g. related to any objective and proven malfunctioning of the Prenot@mi portal), please promptly notify the Consulate General via email at passaporti.sanfrancisco@esteri.it or phone call at 415-292-9200, providing documentation to prove the technical problem encountered (e.g. with screenshots). Failure to do so in time will result in the cancellation of the appointment, which – as mentioned above – will have to be rescheduled through the online booking system Prenot@mi.
