The Italian Institute of Artificial Intelligence for Industry (AI4I) is seeking visionary, results-driven, and highly talented leaders to form its inaugural cohort of Heads of R&D Units.
The Institute operates at the intersection of cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence and other advanced computational methods, and their applications within the Italian industrial landscape, with a particular focus on the manufacturing, automotive, and aerospace sectors.
AI4I offers its founding leaders highly competitive salaries, the management of a substantial initial research grant—enabling them to build their own teams—and access to state-of-the-art technological infrastructure. This includes the Institute’s HPC foundry and the Italian AI Factory, a €400 million project co-financed by the European Union, in which AI4I plays a pivotal role in delivering AI-driven services to the Italian industry.
The Institute aims to establish both methods-oriented R&D Units, dedicated to rapidly translating the latest advancements in AI and computational methods into actionable algorithms and applications, and domain-oriented R&D Units, where AI is applied to real-world use cases for the benefit of the Institute’s partners in contracted consulting, research and development, and Joint Laboratories.
