Italian citizens registered with AIRE may independently request the following civil registry and population registry certificates online through the ANPR (National Resident Population Registry – Anagrafe Nazionale della Popolazione Residente: HTTPS://WWW.ANAGRAFENAZIONALE.INTERNO.IT/SERVIZI-AL-CITTADINO/) – citizen services portal:
- Birth registry certificate;
- Marriage registry certificate;
- Citizenship certificate;
- Certificate of existence in life;
- Residence certificate;
- AIRE residence certificate;
- Civil status certificate;
- Family status certificate;
- Family status and civil status certificate;
- Residence in a cohabitation/community certificate;
- AIRE family status certificate;
- Family status certificate indicating family relationships;
- Certificate of single status;
- Civil union registry certificate;
- Cohabitation agreement certificate.
This service has been available since November 15, 2021 and is reserved for persons registered in the Italian population registries (APR and AIRE).
The certificates listed above may be requested for oneself or for Italian family members residing in the same household.
These certificates are issued free of charge through the online service and may be obtained only by users who have a CIE (Electronic Identity Card), SPID, or CNS digital identity. (CIE, Spid o CNS.)
Access to online services provided by the Italian Public Administration, including ANPR services, is currently restricted to users holding a CIE, SPID, or CNS digital identity. (CIE, Spid o CNS.)

ALL CERTIFICATES THAT CANNOT BE ISSUED THROUGH THE ANPR ONLINE SYSTEM

MUST BE REQUESTED DIRECTLY BY THE APPLICANT FROM THE COMPETENT MUNICIPALITY (COMUNE) IN ITALY.
Such documentation may be subject to the payment of the applicable stamp duty (imposta di bollo). For additional information, applicants are advised to contact the competent Municipality (Comune) in Italy directly.
