HOW TO REGISTER IN AIRE
- Login to Fast It – https://serviziconsolarionline.esteri.it/ScoFE/index.sco
- Click on “CONSULAR REGISTER AND AIRE” at the top of the page
- Go to the box entitled “REQUEST THE REGISTRATION IN THE REGISTRY OF ITALIAN CITIZENS LIVING ABROAD (AIRE)”
- Click on “GO TO THE SERVICE” and carefully read the instructions posted on the page before filling out the request
IMPORTANT
- You must fill out personal information EXACTLY as it appears on your Italian Passport.
- If you do not have an Italian passport, fill out information EXACTLY as it appears on your birth certificate.
- Middle names should be included in the first name field “NOME”.
- Dates of birth must be in European format: DAY / MONTH / YEAR.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
The following 4 (four) documents must be uploaded:
- AIRE registrarion request form
- Italian ID for each italian citizen;
- Proof of legal stay in the USA for each italian citizen
- Proof of residence in this Consular district that shows the same address that is on the AIRE registration form
Please Note:
- The request form must be generated in Fast It after you have entered in and confirmed your information.
- For Italian ID we accept:
- Italian passport, OR
- Carta d’identità italiana, OR
- Copy of the citizenship confirmation received from the Italian Authority (Consulate or Italian Comune) that granted Italian citizenship
- For Proof of Legal Stay in the USA we accept:
- USA Visa, OR
- USA Work Authorization Card, OR
- Permanent Resident Card** issued or renewed AFTER 16 August 1992,
- **If the Permanent Resident Card was recently renewed, a scanned copy of the renewal payment receipt issued by the US Immigration is sufficient. You can apply for the renewal online (www.uscis.gov).
- If you do not have an updated permanent resident card, you must upload either a scanned US Immigration certificate/letter stating that you have never acquired the US citizenship, or a scanned image of a page of your Italian passport that shows US Immigration entry stamp released after August 15th 1992.
- DUAL CITIZENS:
- Citizens of the United States of America
- Certificate of Naturalization – if you were not born with USA citizenship
- Consular Report of Birth Abroad – for USA citizns BORN ABROAD to parent(s) with USA citizenship
- USA Passport – only for those born in the USA
- Citizen of Other Countries
- Declaration issued by the foreign Authorities that states the exact date of acquisition of that citizenship – if you were not born with this citizenship
- Foreign passport – for those who were born with that citizenship
- Citizens of the United States of America
- For proof of residence we accept:
- Driver license, OR
- Utility Bill (electricity, gas, phone, internet, or TV), OR
- Copy of rental contract (only the page showing applicant’s name and address)
- Please note: if multiple family members reside at the same address, ONE proof of residence of the head of household is sufficient
