Italian Innovation for the Green Transition: 17 Companies at INNOVIT

Consul Corriero during the meeting with the 17 Italian firms taking part in the acceleration program

Seventeen innovative Italian companies took part in the latest CleanTech/GreenTech acceleration program at INNOVIT – Italian Innovation and Culture Hub, bringing to San Francisco technologies and solutions addressing some of the key challenges of the green transition.

From clean energy and grid resilience to regenerative agriculture and AI-enabled industrial operations, the participating companies showcased the breadth of Italy’s innovation ecosystem and its growing contribution to the development of more sustainable and resilient economic and industrial models.

The program concluded with a Demo Day at INNOVIT, opened on behalf of Consul General Massimo Carnelos by Deputy Consul General Davide Corriero. The event provided the companies with an opportunity to present their technologies and engage directly with investors, corporations, researchers, and sector specialists from across the Bay Area.

The following day, the founders were welcomed at the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco for a further exchange on their experience in the Bay Area, the connections developed during the program, and the opportunities ahead for international collaboration and growth.

CleanTech and GreenTech have been a core part of INNOVIT’s activities since the Hub’s first acceleration programs in 2022–2023. The latest cohort also provided an opportunity to reflect on the program’s development over the past three years and on INNOVIT’s growing role in connecting Italian companies with the Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem.

The CleanTech/GreenTech program reflects the continued commitment of the Consulate General and INNOVIT to advancing the internationalization of Italian innovation in strategic sectors and fostering new connections between Italy and California around the shared challenge of the green transition.

The Consulate General extends its gratitude to the INNOVIT team, speakers, partners, and all 17 participating companies for their valuable contributions to the program.
