Consul Davide Corriero, on behalf of Consul General Massimo Carnelos, had the pleasure of welcoming Matteo Daffadà, Regional Councillor of Emilia-Romagna and President of the Consulta degli Emiliano-Romagnoli nel Mondo, for an institutional meeting focused on strengthening ties with Emilian-Romagnol communities abroad.
The discussion provided an opportunity to reflect on the role of the Consulta as a key instrument for fostering connections between Emilia-Romagna and its global communities, as well as for promoting their cultural, social, and economic contributions.
Particular attention was devoted to the importance of the Italian diaspora, the value of associative networks, and the contribution of Italian talents abroad to the Sistema Paese, including through a growing spirit of giving back to their regions of origin.
The meeting also highlighted the economic dynamism and innovation capacity of Emilia-Romagna, one of Italy’s most dynamic regions, as well as broader national efforts to promote Italian innovation and entrepreneurship on the global stage.
This meeting is part of the Consulate General’s ongoing commitment to strengthening dialogue with Italian regional institutions and with Italian communities across its jurisdiction.
