The Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco, in collaboration with INNOVIT, the Italian Innovation and Culture Hub, was honored to welcome Paolo Gallo, Chief Executive Officer of Italgas, on the occasion of the launch of his latest book, “Out of the Maze. Innovation, Technology and Prejudice on Energy Transition“.
The event featured a compelling and insightful conversation between Mr. Gallo and Diane Schrader, exploring the major challenges of the global energy transition. Drawing on the book’s central metaphor of the “labyrinth,” the discussion highlighted the complexity of the path toward true sustainability. Mr. Gallo emphasized that ideological approaches alone are insufficient to address the scale of the transformation ahead; instead, innovation, technological neutrality, and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset are essential to navigating the transition successfully.
