On July 12, 2024, the skies above San Francisco were adorned with the vibrant colors and awe-inspiring maneuvers of the Italian Air Force’s aerobatic demonstration team, the Frecce Tricolori. This exhilarating aerial spectacle marked the team’s first performance in the Bay Area, captivating onlookers with their synchronized precision and breathtaking stunts.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Italian Consulate General in San Francisco organized a special gathering at Crissy Field/Veteran Overlook, a famous San Francisco venue with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay, inviting members of the Italian and Italian-American community to witness the Frecce Tricolori’s dazzling display. As the iconic aircraft painted the sky with their signature tri-color trails, the crowd erupted in cheers and applause, their hearts filled with pride for Italy’s rich aviation heritage.
After the exciting flyover of San Francisco, on July 14, 2024, Consul General Sergio Strozzi, Vice Consul General Davide Corriero and the team from the Consulate General of Italy had the honor of visiting the California Capital Airshow in Sacramento, where they had the opportunity to meet the pilots and crew of the Frecce Tricolori in person. Witnessing firsthand their unwavering passion and dedication to their craft was an inspiring experience that further strengthened the admiration for this extraordinary team.
