The Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco welcomed a group of outstanding young Italian entrepreneurs admitted to Y Combinator Startup School, together with representatives of Lead The Future Mentorship, for a meeting dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship, and the growing ties between Italy and Silicon Valley.
Deputy Consul General Davide Corriero welcomed the delegation on behalf of Consul General Massimo Carnelos, congratulating the participants on this important achievement and recognizing the growing presence of Italian talent within the world’s leading innovation ecosystems.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the role of Italy’s institutional network in the United States in supporting the internationalization of Italian startups and innovators, with particular attention to the activities carried out by the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco and the broader Sistema Italia in promoting Italian excellence and strengthening transatlantic cooperation in innovation.
Particular emphasis was placed on the role of INNOVIT – Italian Innovation and Culture Hub as Italy’s flagship platform for connecting startups, entrepreneurs, researchers, and companies with Silicon Valley, as well as on the valuable contribution of organizations such as Lead The Future, which continue to empower the next generation of Italian innovators through mentorship, international networks, and educational opportunities.
The Consulate General reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Italian talent as it engages with global innovation ecosystems, recognizing that investing in young entrepreneurs and fostering international connections are essential to strengthening Italy’s competitiveness and building lasting partnerships between Italy and the United States.
