The Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco was honored to welcome members of the Italian Tech Club to its first West Coast meeting of 2026, celebrating the remarkable talent and innovation of the Italian tech community in the Bay Area.

The gathering brought together a vibrant community of Italian professionals and innovators based in the Bay Area, highlighting the unique role that this ecosystem—at the heart of global technological development—can play in connecting Italian talent and amplifying the country’s growing presence in the international technology landscape. Bringing together such an accomplished network of Italian innovators represents a valuable opportunity to harness their collective expertise and influence in support of the broader effort to promote Italy as a leading Tech Nation.

The initiative also aligns with a wider strategy promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy and the Italian Trade Agency to strengthen Italy’s global innovation ecosystem. Among the key pillars of this effort is INNOVIT – Italian Innovation and Culture Hub, the innovation center established in San Francisco to foster collaboration among Italian startups, research institutions, investors, and technology leaders.

Consul General Massimo Carnelos, Consul Davide Corriero and the staff look forward to deepening their cooperation with the more than one hundred members of this dynamic tech community across the Bay Area, further strengthening ties between Italy and one of the world’s most influential hubs of innovation.

Special appreciation was extended to Daria Pelini, Gaetano Coppoletta, Amedeo Baragiola, Francesco Mantovani, Iacopo Olivo, Beatrice Malizia, and to all those who contributed to the success of this first meeting and to the continued growth of the Italian tech community on the West Coast.
