The Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco was thrilled to host the Annual Meeting of Italian Scientists and Scholars in North America (ISSNAF)’s Bay Area Chapter.
The gathering celebrated the remarkable contributions of Italian scientists in the United States, underscoring the enduring strength of Italy’s academic and research legacy and highlighting the importance of leveraging this extraordinary network to further deepen Italian-American cooperation in science and technology, encouraging a mutually beneficial circulation of talent and ideas.
Consul General Massimo Carnelos extended his sincere appreciation to Co-Chairs Alessandra Lanzara and Luigi Pistaferri, Board Members Gianluca Iaccarino and Maria Luisa Gorno-Tempini, to Scientific Attaché’ Romeo Beccherelli and to all members and participants for their engagement and commitment.
A particular expression of gratitude was extended to Luca de Angelis, who graciously joined from Italy in the early hours of the morning to outline the vision of the Tech Europe Foundation in Milan, an ambitious initiative dedicated to further consolidating Italy’s role as a leading Tech Nation and global hub of innovation.
The Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco looks forward to continuing to support and celebrate the achievements of the Italian scientific community in the United States, fostering ever closer collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and innovation across the Atlantic, while exploring the opening of additional ISSNAF chapters within its jurisdiction to further expand this vibrant network.
