In this context, the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco, the Italian Trade Agency in Los Angeles, INNOVIT – Italian Innovation and Culture Hub, and the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco continue to serve as key platforms for advancing Italy’s presence within one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems.

The visit reaffirmed a shared commitment to strengthening the longstanding partnership between Italy and California, building new opportunities for collaboration in technology, culture, education, research, and economic development, while further consolidating the ties between Italy and the United States.

Consul General Massimo Carnelos accompanied Italy’s Ambassador to the United States, Marco Peronaci, during his first official visit to California, which included meetings with Governor Gavin Newsom and San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie, together with a delegation from Regione Lazio led by President Francesco Rocca.
