The Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco was pleased to host Techtalia’s first event outside Italy, an evening that brought together technology, entrepreneurship, culture, and the enduring appeal of the Italian lifestyle in a dynamic and inspiring dialogue between Italy and Silicon Valley.

The event marked an important milestone in Techtalia’s international journey, following successful editions in Milan, Venice, Florence, and Rome, and confirmed the growing interest in initiatives that connect Italy’s innovation ecosystem with global centers of technological excellence.

A highlight of the evening was the premiere of Dolce Vita Realized: The Documentary, directed by Katya Gimro, a project exploring the intersection of innovation, creativity, and contemporary Italian identity. The screening was accompanied by a stimulating discussion featuring John Riccitiello, whose reflections on leadership, entrepreneurship, and the evolution of the technology sector sparked engaging exchanges among participants.

The program concluded with the Alta Club Dinner – Edizione San Francisco, held in the Consulate’s courtyard, where guests enjoyed an authentic Italian experience featuring wood-fired pizza, Italian wines, and a live culinary demonstration by Impulse Labs. The convivial atmosphere offered a fitting setting to celebrate the values that continue to define Italy’s global appeal: innovation, creativity, excellence, and quality of life.

Consul General Massimo Carnelos extends his appreciation to Gabriel Schillinger and the entire Techtalia team for their commitment to building meaningful connections between Italy and the Bay Area, fostering dialogue among innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and creative leaders on both sides of the Atlantic.

Events such as this reaffirm the strength of the relationship between Italy and the United States and highlight the growing role of innovation, culture, and entrepreneurship as drivers of international cooperation and mutual growth.
