{"id":3162,"date":"2024-05-15T16:43:17","date_gmt":"2024-05-15T23:43:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conssanfrancisco.esteri.it\/?p=3162"},"modified":"2024-05-17T16:47:42","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T23:47:42","slug":"01-june-2024-reintroduction-of-national-visas-for-family-members-of-ue-eea-citizens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/conssanfrancisco.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dal_consolato\/2024\/05\/01-june-2024-reintroduction-of-national-visas-for-family-members-of-ue-eea-citizens\/","title":{"rendered":"01 June 2024: Reintroduction Of National Visas For Family Members Of UE\/EEA Citizens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 14 May 2024, this Consulate was notified that the requirement of national visas for family members of EU\/EEA citizens repatriating to Italy has been reimposed effective <strong>01 June 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are an EU\/EEA citizen intending to move your family to Italy on or after 01 June 2024, your family members who are <strong>not<\/strong> EU\/EEA citizens <strong>must<\/strong> now have a national visa for family reasons in order to obtain their residency permits in Italy. <strong>Otherwise, they will not be allowed to remain in Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are a resident of the Consular jurisdiction, please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/conssanfrancisco.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/visti\/instructions-for-visas\/\">visa office webpage<\/a> and download the PDF for the family reasons (family of EU\/EEA citizens) visa.<\/p>\n<p>The Consular jurisdiction is <strong>Alaska<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>California<\/strong>\u00a0(<strong>except the following counties<\/strong>, which are under the jurisdiction of the Italian Consulate in Los Angeles: Imperial Valley, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Ventura),<strong>Hawaii<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0Idaho<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Montana<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Oregon<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Utah<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Washington<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>American Territories of Samoa<\/strong>,<strong>American Territory of Guam<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0Northern Mariana Islands<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Johnston Atoll<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0Wake Island<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Midway Islands<\/strong>.
