{"id":789,"date":"2023-08-02T16:23:44","date_gmt":"2023-08-02T23:23:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conssanfrancisco.esteri.it\/?page_id=789"},"modified":"2023-08-02T16:27:10","modified_gmt":"2023-08-02T23:27:10","slug":"changing-your-italian-comune-of-aire-registration","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conssanfrancisco.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/anagrafe-degli-italiani-residenti-allestero-aire\/changing-your-italian-comune-of-aire-registration\/","title":{"rendered":"CHANGING YOUR ITALIAN COMUNE OF AIRE REGISTRATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is possible for an Italian citizen to change the Comune where he\/she is registered in AIRE by written request, only if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the citizen has a spouse and\/or children either registered in the AIRE of that Comune, OR<\/li>\n<li>the citizen has a spouse and\/or children\u00a0who are residents in Italy in that Comune.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other reasons for changing the Comune of AIRE registration are\u00a0<em><strong>NOT<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>permitted.\u00a0Requests submitted for reasons other than those listed above (typically following the purchase of a house or property in Italy in a Comune other than that of current AIRE registration) do not satisfy the current requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Citizens who satisfy the abovementioned requirements must submit a typed request, addressed to the new Comune where they wish to transfer AIRE registration. The citizen must be signed and dated, and must indicate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>their full first, middle, and last name,<\/li>\n<li>date and place of birth,<\/li>\n<li>the reason for requesting the change of the Comune AIRE registration.<\/li>\n<li>The request must also include a scan\/photocopy of an Italian I.D. that shows the signature of the person requesting the change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requests must be submitted by email to the Registry-AIRE department to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:anagrafe.sanfrancisco@esteri.it\">anagrafe.sanfrancisco@esteri.it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once the Consulate receives this request it will be sent to the Comune for review. If the Comune successfully transfers the AIRE registration, the citizen should receive a confirmation via email.
