Passports must contain at least two blank pages for the visa sticker. Passports must have been issued within the previous 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>Travelers who visit Italy for business, tourism, or study for up to 90 days must fill out a \u201cdichiarazione di presenza\u201d (declaration of presence). This form will be given to travelers when they arrive in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>All\u00a0travelers who intend to stay for more than 90 days must apply for a &#8220;permesso di soggiorno\u201d (residency permit) from the local Questura (police department) within 8 days of their arrival in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>Passports and visas will be returned exclusively by mail. The applicant must bring a self addressed, prepaid or stamped envelope. The Visa Office will accept only USPS Express Mail prepaid envelopes from the U.S. Postal Service (no FedEx, no UPS).
