strozzi foto bio

Sergio Strozzi was born in Alessandria on 29 December 1972.

He graduated with a law degree from the Universita’ degli Studi di Torino in 1997 and, in the same year, graduated with a degree in in organ music and composition from the musical Conservatory of Alessandria. He has worked in the private sector and as an attorney.

Following the foreign service exam, in 2001 he entered a diplomatic career with a specialization in commerce. After his initial years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he worked in the Directorate-General for the Americas, at the Visa Center for Italians Abroad and Immigration Policies, and finally at the Directorate-General for Human Resources, from 2004 to 2008 he served as Counselor for economic-commercial affairs of the Italian Embassy in Budapest.

From 2008 to 2012, he served as Consul General in Valona, Albania.

At the end of 2012, he returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and specifically the Directorate-General for Resources and Innovation, where his last role was as head of Office IV (Office of Legal Matters).

From 17 June 2021, he is Consul General in San Francisco.

He is in a civil partnership and has a daughter.
