Authentications

Signature authentication: A public official certifies that a document originates with the person who signed it. In order to have a signature authenticated, it is necessary to come to the Notary Office in person with a valid identity document and a “Codice Fiscale” and sign it in front of the Consular Officer.

Authentication of a photo: In order to have a photo authenticated, it is necessary to come to the Notary Office in person with a valid identity document and three recent identical photos.

Authentication of acts and documents: A public official certifies that the copy of a document is a true copy of the original, exhibited by the applicant.
As an alternative, only if the applicant is a citizen of the EU, they can authenticate the document through a self-certification or a sworn declaration.
