FAST IT – UPDATE AIRE / CHANGE OF ADDRESS

The following cases should submit an AIRE update request:

• Change of address within the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco
• Change of address to somewhere outside the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco
• You were at one time registered at the Consulate in San Francisco and moved away. You have now recently moved back to this consular district and you need to re-register at the Consulate in San Francisco.

HOW TO CHANGE/UPDATE YOUR AIRE INFORMATION:

1. Login to Fast It – https://serviziconsolarionline.esteri.it/ScoFE/index.sco
2. CLICK ON “CONSULAR REGISTER AND AIRE” at the top of the page
3. Go to the box entitled “NOTIFY THE CHANGE OF ADDRESS”
4. Click on “GO TO THE SERVICE” and carefully read the instructions posted on the page before submitting the request.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:

The following 4 (four) documents should be uploaded in no more than 3 (three) attachments:

1. AIRE update/address change form;
2. Italian ID
3. *Valid proof of legal stay in the USA;
4. *Proof of residence in this consular district;

*IMPORTANT:

• The AIRE update/change of address form must be generated in Fast It after you enter and confirm all your information.
• For Italian ID we accept:
  • Italian passport, OR
  • Carta d’identità italiana, OR
  • Copy of the citizenship confirmation received from the Italian Authority (Consulate or Italian Comune) that granted Italian citizenship
• For Proof of Legal Stay in the USA we accept
  • USA Visa, OR
  • USA Work Authorization Card, OR
  • Permanent Resident Card issued or renewed AFTER 16 August 1992
  • DUAL CITIZENS:
    • USA Citizens:
      • Certificate of Naturalization – if you were NOT BORN with USA Citizenship
      • Consular Report of Birth Abroad – if you were BORN ABROAD to parents(s) with USA citizenship
      • USA Passport – only for those born in the USA
    • Citizens of Other Countries 
      • Declaration issued by the foreign authorities that indicates the EXACT DATE OF ACQUISITION of that country’s citizenship – for those who were NOT BORN with the citizenship of that country
      • Foreign passport – only for those who were born with the citizenship of that country.
• For Proof of Residence we accept:
  • Driver’s license, OR
  • Utility Bill (electricity, gas, phone, internet, or TV), OR
  • Copy of rental contract (only the page showing applicant’s name and address)
    • If you are submitting the request on behalf of a minor, please upload a proof of residence for the parent or guardian.
